So what was the deal with the bad start and ripping up the fuel rig? I
think on the playback it did show the light flash green, so it may not
have been Massa's mistake. I'm not really up to speed on the new
system. Who/what controls the lights? Maybe they should go back to the
lollipop? (Though that's not really fool-proof either, as shown by the
Red Bull team.)

Thankfully, none of the pit crew were hurt.

On a frustrating now, as the race went a tiny bit overtime, my DVR quite
recording just as they were going into the LAST LAP! ARGH! At least
nothing spectacular occurred...

I'm quite sure he started moving on green which imediatedly turned back red.
That's the prob with an automatic system, it doesn't think, a lollipop man
would have seen the road wasn't clear. That only solves half the problem
though as we still have running away with the rig connected (how can he get
a green light while it's connected, isn't there any sensors for that?).
Another thing showing how off the team is now is after he slowly moved to
end of pitlane and sat there waiting.. it took AGES before anyone started
after him to get the rig removed so he could go back out on the track. With
some clear thought and quick repsonce they could have saved 5-10 secs
getting him back into the race (Not that it would have helped much as he
seems to have conseded already).

Yeah, could have been nasty.
Myself I thought that this race would end up with a lot more crashes seeing
the tight enclosed track with so small margins, in retrospect it went rather
well.

Best Wishes
